   Greenhill Farm

The farmhouse itself is an old stone and timber framed building, dating back to the sixteenth century. Its elevated position gives a panoramic view of the Dee Estuary. An idyllic setting for both long and short breaks.

Downstairs, the comfortable lounge has an open fire and the original beams are exposed in the walls and ceiling. A particular and unusual feature of the room is a sixteenth century window which was retained after rebuilding work in the seventeenth century, but which is only featured on the inside and cannot be seen from the outside!

The beamed seventeenth century dining room features period furnishings and panelling making it the ideal location for small conferences where personal service is guaranteed. We are able to adapt our facilities to suit most requirements. Our buffet lunches and evening meals are famous for including wholesome home made produce.

There is a games/utility room complete with snooker table, darts board, washing, drying and ironing facilities. There are games provided to suit adults and children alike.

Upstairs, there are 4 guests bedrooms. Two family rooms, en-suite, and a twin and double room. All rooms have their own heaters, washbasins, colour T.V.'s and tea and coffee facilities. There are two other bathrooms available for guests.

Greenhill farm is a 120 acre mixed dairy farm an the edge of Holywell in the- hamlet of Bryn Celyn. Our 'Bryn Glas' pedigree Simmental cattle are award winners and are most distinctive. However, the back bone of our farm is our herd of over sixty Fresian cows and young stock.

The cows are milked regularly twice a day and visitors are encouraged to watch this operation in safety.
